Answer Hello Jcolby5801. Check and see if the agitator will turn by hand in both directions. If so, you will need to replace the cam kit 285809. Hope this helps.

Answer Hello Laurie. Yes, the nut unscrews out of the unit. It may be stuck, but it should unscrew out of the unit.

Answer Hello Chuck. You need to check the thrust bearing 12002213 and see if it releasing the brake when you turn it by hand. If not, replace the thrust bearing kit on the unit.
