I am trying to remove the coins and sea shells my kids left in their pockets. They have gone between the agitator plate and the tub. I got the bolt out of the top center of the agitator plate with no problems but I am unable to lift out the agitator like it shows in most of the videos where it comes out easily. Any thoughts? I don't want to break it but need to get the stuff out.

I took the agitator out to clean it. Nothing was broken and I did not clean the grease from the agitator bolt. I put everything back together, tightened the bolt to "snug" (not a 1/4 turn past finger tight - like spark plugs) every thing seems to work properly spins correctly, sounds good, no odd pitches or vibrations. But when I look at it from the top down as it is spinning - the agitator now looks like it is spinning at a ever so slight angle. The gasket on the bolt did come off and I washed it. I put the flat side of the gasket next to the bolt and the slightly curved side down. Should the gasket be in the opposite position? Do I need to tighten up the bolt more or is there some way to doublecheck? Thank you

The agitator on my machine is no longer functioning properly. The part moves during the wash and rinse cycles but it twists and and wrings the clothes into knots. I was expecting dogs in the agitator to be worn but I don't see those as a part on my washer. My tub is extremely unbalanced as well shifting to the back right of the cavity. Maybe suspension springs or the pads probably.... What are your thoughts?

The agitator on my Kenmore washing machine is not agitating. I was about ready to order new "dogs" (directional cogs) or an agitator repair kit, but after looking at a video to see how to pull the agitator assembly out of the washer I see that the 7/16th inch bolt has broken off. Any suggestions on how to get the bolt out?

Great Videos I am having an agitator issue where The plastic cam container with the attached spring has a hole on the side from the screw rubbing up against the container wall the washer is all chewed up from the bolt not seated in the shaft and believe the bolt backed out due the blue thread seal is gone off of the bolt thread. so each time i think the bolt is tightened down i fill the washer it will agitate the upper but the bolt becomes loose even though it is not stripped anywhere along the thread noticing the bolt is submerged in water inside the agitator..agitator would work for 15 seconds before it would stop ..is there any thing needed on the shaft inside where that bolt screws down into i didnt notice visible threads there...so I will need a bolt with t hat threaded seal and the repair kit do I need that piece to lock down the dogs for this particular unit' Thanks
