Agitator does not agitate or move, could this be the agitator shaft? And if so how does one remove it, is ther a diagram somewhere?

Answer Hello Larry. Based on the information you provided, it may need the cam kit 285809. See if you can turn the top of the agitator freely both directions, back and forth. If so, replace the cam kit in the unit.

Answer Hello Lauand. You will remove the cap off the agitator, by pulling it off. Then remove the bolt in the center of the agitator and pull the agitator upward to remove it from the unit. Hope this helps.
