Where can I find my model number?

The refrigerator side is too cool. Pulled out the thermister and it tested 2.5k ohm at room temp. Dropped to ~1.8K after a few minutes when holding between my fingers. So it drop when warmed? Is this the correct range? Also unscrewed the refrigerator baffle. while the fridge was running. After a few minutes the door closed and while reassembling it opened. How do I tell if it's operating correctly? All suggestions appreciated. Thanks

Answer Hello Mark. The thermistor should read 7800-8290 at 35°. It sounds like the thermistor is bad if the unit is to cold.

I have ordered part 2004484, The part looks almost exactly like the old one except the connector is wrong. . Further info on my situation might be helpful as well. My current baffle damper is in constant motion and the refrig is generally too cold. I took a guess the the baffle assembly was the problem but I think it could also be the unit that tells the baffle to open or close.

Answer Hello Frank. Based on the model number you provided, 2004484 is the correct damper. It sounds like the switches in the damper are not reading and you will need to replace the damper assembly. There is no note that the connector will need to be replaced.

I have a Kitchenaid 42" side by side. freezer holds temp at 0 to -10, but the refrig. side can range from 22 to almost 60 degrees. Could this be the temp control unit going bad or the air baffle assembly?

Answer Hello Bob. You will need to check and see if the air baffle is closed when the unit is warm. If so, and the unit is running, you will need to replace the air baffle 2004484. Hope this helps.
