Answer Hello Roger,
You will first want to check to make sure that the evaporator fan motor is running. Check to make sure that you do not have impacted evaporator coils with frost. If the coils are impacted by frost do a continuity check on the defrost heater and the defrost bimetal. If either one do not have continuity then that is the part you would replace. On the evap fan check to see if you have 120vac at the fan connections. If power there then replace the fan motor 2315539. If no power check the defrost timer or if coils are impacted and both heater W10140847 and bimetal 2321800 have continuity then replace the defrost timer 2304099.
How do I remove the air tower from the back of the freezer? I have removed the ice maker and all the screws in the back panel of the freezer and the air tower just seems stuck. Please help. Thanks

Answer Hi Steve. It is better to just remove the whole evaporator back first. This way you can unhook the ice maker electrical connector receptacle off the back wall . User a pair of needle nose pliers to remove the retainers that are in the center of the connector after you have unhooked the ice maker. This allows you to remove the 4- back wall screws lift up on the back wall as you work the whole top cover fwd. This gently pulls the center divider out from the freezer bottom . The divider is set into a Styrofoam block in the center divider wall between the fresh food cavity and the freezer cavity. UN clasp the green ground wire clip that holds onto the back wall inner corner. Then unhook the evaporator fan motor electrical connector. Remove the whole back wall. Then you will have the whole assy. in your hands. Now unclasp the upper and lower inside center divider clips. This removes the air tower part # 2182340. Thank You.
