I have a front door dripping water dispenser after four years of use. Not completely sure whether there is mechanical problem with the dispenser. How can I trouble shoot this? I don't think it is air lock as the leak can be stopped by jiggling the dispenser lever several times. While jiggling the handle it feels as though I can tell when it engages.
Answer Hello John. You will need to check and see if the dispenser arm 2259395AP is bad or if the control W10184875 is bad. If both of these are good, you could have a bad water valve W10247725. Test and see if there is power coming to the water valve while the unit is not calling for water. If so, it will be the control board or the dispenser arm. If there is no power there and it drips, you will need to replace the water valve. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
