Answer Hello. You will need to hold the motor pulley and unscrew the blower wheel from the motor shaft with a wrench and socket. It is counterclockwise threads. Hope this helps.

Answer Yes Clifford, the blower wheel can make a loud rattling noise when it has failed or is failing. You may also experience poor air flow and the dryer could get too hot and trip the thermal fuse or high limit thermostat. Answer Hello Naim, A loose blower wheel could cause a loss of ignition but would be more likey a clogged vent system or bad gas coils. You can test coils and should have 1220 ohms plus or minus 50. On the 3 terminal coil you should have between 1 and 2 1365 plus or minus 25 and between 1 and 3 560 plus or minus 25.

Answer Ricky, The "nylon nut" on the front of the blower wheel, is actually part of the wheel, and is used for tightenning the blower wheel onto the motor shaft. It has reversed threads and is designed to tighten as the motor turns. If the blower wheel is loose on the motor shaft, you'll need to replace the blower wheel. " Hold motor pulley securely and unthread impeller from motor shaft (right hand thread). Use a 7/8 inch, 6 point socket to aid in the removal of the impeller."

Answer Hi Theresa. It may be time now to sacrifice the blower part # 56000 and replace it. I have carefully used a cold chisel and split the blower plastic wheel in half so then you can use vise-grips to remove the rest. Thank You.

Answer Hi Joe. You'll need a 7/16 inch socket and an open end wrench for holding the motor shaft, "Remove Blower Wheel by placing a wrench on the rear of the Motor shaft and the nut on the Blower Wheel. Rotate counterclockwise to loosen."The blower wheel is part # 56000 is accessible by removing the blower housing cover. You Can use a deep well socket to reach in from the front and also use an adjustable wrench to hold the back of the belt / pulley wheel while loosening the fan assy. Thank you.
