Wait a minute!! My model has slots on the legs that are an important element of water shooting through the filter. So are you saying the replacement part does away with that source of directing water through the filter? For the life of me, I could not figure out where these seals 912313 go, they were not there when I took the parts apart. Could a former repairman failed to replace them? Could you please be extremely clear in describing their location? Or could my model not include them? The original on my maytag has six screw holes, the replacement part I received today only three, though there are three more moldings that perhaps I could drill through. 6-914124 Could you please advise?
Answer Hello John,
The slots on the legs are not required for shooting water through the filter. Any time a part looks different it is due to design changes and the part they changed was not required. They also determined that you would only need 3 screws to keep the filter plate in place. The seal ring goes around the top of the rinse arm assembly.
On this part are there surpose to be holes in the legs on the outside?
Answer Hello Maynard. No, the part does not have holes in the legs on the outside of the rinse arm 99002043. Hope this helps.
I am having a problem with taking the lower off. I need to find out why the arm is not spinning properly. The arm seems to be stationary when the dishwasher is in use.
Answer Hello John. You will need to unscrew the wash arm cap 99001428 to remove the lower spray arm. Then you can access the other parts of the sump to see if the impeller 99002069 is good. Hope this helps.
