how do you test Assy-Guide sensor part AP4045208
Answer DCO, First remove the sensor from the drum, and mark and disconnect the wires. Clean the sensor assembly, especially the metal bars, with a rag and alcohol(this should remove any build up from chemicals or oils from softener, etc.). Using your meter place the leads at the ends of each metal strip, there should be a "closed" circuit reading on each bar. Place the meter leads across the two terminals where the wires were connected, there should be an "open" circuit. Place a wet rag or metal object across the two metal strips, the meter should then show a "closed" circuit. If all's OK reattach the wires and install the sensor assembly.
When you turn on the dryer, the gas burner goes on for about 1 minute, then goes out. I replaced the flame sensor and coils on the gas valve, and it didn't help.
You will want to check the vent system from the blower wheel to the outside of your home to ensure that there is nothing clogging the vent or the blower wheel.
