My dryer will work for a few loads then quits heating. We have replaced the fuses and the thermistor multiple times and it keeps blowing.
You will want to check the venting to the unit from the blower wheel to the outside of the home. If you have a restricted vent it will cause the thermal fuse to continue to blow.
Where is the heat sensor in this model?
Answer Hello David. On the blower housing, you will find the thermistor 35001191. This is used to sense the heat temp in the unit.
Runs forever won't dry in automatic cycle. I cleaned the vent and ductwork.
Is problem the special thermostat or moisture-sensing system?
Answer Hello Joe. You will need to test the thermostats and the flame sensor 338906 and make sure they are good. They should read closed for continuity. Also, check the igniter 33002789 and make sure it is getting hot enough to light the gas. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter for the testing procedures. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
