After nut is removed, does hub simply slide off?

First of all the washer is leaking water onto the floor. Seems to happen mainly during the spin cycle. It appears water is dripping from the tub onto the transmission below. Do you think this the seal kit would work or do you think its a bearing problem? Also I can not remove the lock nut over the transmission shaft. There is a washer on top that spins around but it appears too small to go over the fins on the shaft. Also the spline insert seems to block the nut as well. I can not figure out how to remove it?

There seems to be two different tub seals and 2 different bearings for this model. It has the plastic outer tub. Can you tell me which seal kit to buy and which transmission this unit has? Thank you.

My machine has been very loud on the spin cycle. It sounds like a helicopter is landing. Can you tell me which part I need to replace? Thank you.

I broke the shoulder bolt on the transmission spindle while removing the hub. Am I "screwed"? If I can get an EZ-out bit on it to remove the remnant, is it RH or LH threaded?

My Amana washer has decided to give me some problems at this time. The original belt broke the first week of December 2013. I ordered the belt and put it on and nearly four weeks later this belt broke, so I got another one. I put it on today and upon start-up there was a little bit of a squeak, so I took it apart again and removed the idler pulley and removed the axle shaft (?). Cleaned it and grease it with silicone and reassembled everything. The squeak noise was not heard upon start-up. NOW, what is happening is the machine sounds like a 747 taking off as it roars, rumbles, etc. I am assuming that the Assembly -- Main Bearing needs to be replaced? If I replace this main bearing what else should I think about replacing while I have this machine tore down or will just replacing the main bearing take care of things? Thank you for your assistance!
