Could you please explain what the actions of the dual agitator are at the different water levels. When the washer is set on medium or smaller , both parts of the dual agitator will agitate left and right . When the washer is set over medium , the lower agitator agitates left and right and the top agitator spins clockwise only.

Does this Maytag model have agitator dogs? My clothes are very wet after spin cycle. When I turn the agitator, it spins both ways. Is it supposed to do that with this model?

There is a loud intermittent squeaking sound that seems to be coming from the agitator when it ratchets around. Is there some repair/adjustment I can make to the agitator or does it need replacing. I have had it off and can't seem to separate the top from the base to see what is making the sound. If the top comes off could you tell me how to do it? thanks.

I just installed a auger assembly part # ap4036109 a couple days ago , and my washer worked fine . My wife did 4 or 5 loads of laundry and all ok .Last night my son did a load and the washer filled with water and when it was done and ready to go into the wash cycle it wouldn't start it just started humming until I helped it by turning it by hand . Now I cant even get it to do that . Did I do something wrong or is this a separate problem?
