Oven heats up but only on higher temps. I first noticed problem with Raising Bread option - no heat whatsoever in that mode although convection fan works fine. And now it takes twice as long to get something baked. I am assuming this is the heating element that needs to be replaced but I wanted to verify this. Thanks.
Answer Spokane, If the element is working at higher temperatures, completely red(no dim spots or areas) after a 10 or 15 minute heat cycle, the element and control should be OK, and you'll need to check or replace the oven temperature sensor 8053344 . It could have a resistance issue after years of heat and usage. Good Luck and Thanks
Do you mean you have to take the back of the stove off to be able to get to the bottom heating unit of the oven to be able to get to the screws? My son is going to help me and I am very much a novice at this.
Answer Hello Phebe. If the element can be seen from the inside, then no, you will disconnect the power and remove the screws holding the element in place. Then pull out and remove the wires from it. Install the new element 9750213 in reverse order. If you can not see the element inside the oven, then you pull out the unit and remove the back panel. Hope this helps.
