So does the bake element just pop out after removing the screws on it's mounting bracket and the new one pop in? Thus, you do not have to remove the back of the oven or anything complicated like that?

The bake element is broken. Your part number is AP2926637. This is held in place in the oven with screws on a plate. What is involved in replacing the part - just removing screws, taking out old part, and screwing back in place the new part? Or does the element just pop in and out without removing the plate?

The baking element went bad in my convection oven. I have replaced it with part number AP2926637 however it still will not heat. I have checked the two connections twice to make sure I had them on good. It appears that I do. What else could be wrong. I tried heating the oven by using the convection but it still will not heat. The stove top works fine.

Oven heats up but only on higher temps. I first noticed problem with Raising Bread option - no heat whatsoever in that mode although convection fan works fine. And now it takes twice as long to get something baked. I am assuming this is the heating element that needs to be replaced but I wanted to verify this. Thanks.

Do you mean you have to take the back of the stove off to be able to get to the bottom heating unit of the oven to be able to get to the screws? My son is going to help me and I am very much a novice at this.
