I have taken my dishwasher apart to find out why it wasn't washing. Found out it was all calcified up. However... I found a checkball in part number PS2099287, called a filter support. It was a small blue checkball. There is no checkball under the drain cover. The blue checkball is way too small to go under the drain cover. The one I found goes between the suction base and the filter support, at about the 3 oclock position in the second picture of the filter support. Your diagram doesn't show one there at all. My serial number is 27692379ZQ

99002281 check ball is really small dia, like 1/8". Like the one person was asking no way will it stay under the gray part where it looks like it should go. Part number 39 is not available. The ball that would fit under in that indention would be about 3/8" dia. When I took it apart I found the small blue one like in your picture of the part. I just don't know where it goes. Help?

Hi. I just bought a check ball from you. It was part AP4113233 according to your website or part #99002281 that was on the package the ball came in. It was blue in color. The problem is the ball seems exceedingly too small. I have a venier caliper and the ball measures 1.565 while the hole in the drain cover measures 3.750. If I put the ball in the sump beneath the drain cover, it will come up the top and into the plate filter. I can't seem to find any other size ball check. Can you offer some assistance? Thanks, Bill

Where does the check ball go? Does it sit in part # 20? Thanks

I have disassembled the machine as I am replacing a broken wash impeller and discharge housing. I have discovered that my machine does not have a check ball (part#39) installed under the drain housing(part#20). It appears that there has never been a ball there - I purchased this machine new. My machine is installed with an anti-siphon airgap. Is there a reason to install a check ball? Has the ball deliberately been omitted from the machine to avoid a potential blockage problem?
