Keep getting ul code during spin cycle. Starts to spin and when it picks up speed I get the code. Already cleaned off any corrosion, replaced suspension rods, which corrected problem for three loads, and then went reight back to ul, sounds like a jet engine and some grinding noises.
The jet engine and grinding noise is a indication that the bearings on the unit are bad and would need to be replaced. This repair can be done one of 2 ways. You could replace the outer tub assembly W10193886 which will have the agitator shaft and bearings already installed. The other option is to replace the bearing kit W10435302 in the original tub which would require the purchase of the bearing tool W10447783as well.
Leaks water during washing (not a lot but enough, about a large glass of water), also there is a large black circle under the washer. It also has balance issues and loud noise during spin. removed tub, bearings look/sound shot and shaft badly corroded.
Answer Tim, all of the issues with your washer are most likely due to a failed tub seal. This would explain the leak, the noise, and the black circle under the washer. You can order and replace the outer tub assembly W10193886 or save a few dollars and order the tub bearing/seal kit
W10435302 and tool W10447783, either way you'll have everything you need. Your off balance issue is most likely due to the worn out shaft and bearings, but you will want to check and make sure the washer is level in both directions, and the tub suspension rod ball joints are clean and free moving.
