Answer Fran, If you look at the belt closely, you'll see a couple of elongated openings in the belt, then you'll see elongated tabs on the control knob and the damper control knob. Install the belt on one of the knobs, and adjust the other knob until the elongated openings and the elongated tabs align, and install the belt. then tighten and properly mounr the damper control and screws.
