While investigating no spinning or agitating I found the belt off the pulley and motor. The plastic pulley's nut was loose. The belt was deteriorated, bits and pieces found on the sound deadening material at the bottom of the washer. The washer was making a knocking noise when the spin cycle was starting up after it was spinning the noise stopped. Also during the agitation cycle there was a loud noise that sounded like something was slipping or something not moving freely. Could these noises be caused by a bad belt or do I have a more serious problem?

Answer Hi. More then likely if the nut part # W10163336 had been even the slightest bit loose in the start then you have the worn belt part # W10006384 and the issues. If the washer was overloaded and some clothes fell in between the inner /outer tub, then it will ball up in there and create fiction (mainly spin) Issues. Clean the pulley / belt contact with rubbing alcohol so the new belt grips. Change the suspension rods part # W10317708 to keep the tub centered. Thank You.

Answer Hello Juan. If the washer motor runs, but does not fill with water, the pressure switch W10268911 is bad and needs to be replaced on the unit.

Is this the correct belt for this washer? It goes on pulley # w10006356 at the bottom of washer, without this belt the washer will not agitate or spin. Actual no. on belt is 10-323
