Hello, I have two questions...
On part #14, bi-metal thermostat, your pictures show 2 wires, mine has 3. On mine - 2 appear to be hard wired, and one has a fitting where it can be "unclipped". Any idea what is going on there?
Last thing, where is the control board located on my refrigerator - EB9SHKXVQ01. I'd rather not take any more "stuff" apart than I have to.... Broke one small plastic clip as it is!! Thanks a lot for your help.
To answer the first part of the question on the defrost bi metal. Coming off the actual bimetal there should be 2 wires. The orange wire will split off to 2 wires and one will go to the heater and the other to the control board. If you cut the thermostat out at the 2 wires right at the thermostat then you can splice the new thermostat in place. For being able to access the control board on the refrigerator you would remove the light cover, once the light cover has been removed, if you look up behind where the lights would be, you will see an opening on each side. Using a flat blade screwdriver and put it into the slot and push toward the front to release the control board housing. This will allow access to the control board for you.
