I opened the back panel of my freezer to get to the bimetl-def, which I have located, but my problem is that one of the bimetl-def (Brown)wire is connected to another wire (which leads to something else),crimped onto a wire connector with a male pin on the other end. I would have to cut both wires to disconnect the bimetl-def from the wire connector in order to change it out. My question is, I can't find the wire connector (with the male pin on the end which is inserted into a harnest), to fasten both wires.

Hi, my current issue with my unit is that it is too cold to the point that food is freezing, even whole gallons of milk. I have frost around the duct on the top left corner of the fridge, And I've tried to ensure that air flow is not obstructed. I was leaning towards replacing the defrost thermostat. Any other Suggestions?

Hello, I was wondering if you could offer any advise on my situation with my fridge. It's a Whirlpool W8RXEGMWB00. The end of this last Summer, temperature started to rise intermittently in both freezer and refrigerator and the food began to thaw out in the freezer. One day we would find it was cold and frozen again, and the next things would be thawing out. Then again it would be cold again the next day or two later. This made me think the system was overloaded and couldn't keep up with the weather, although it was unusual. It was very warm but not hot on the side of the unit, and around the doors, as if the unit was working too hard perhaps? So I pulled it a bit further out from the wall to give more circulation. Eventually, soon after this, the whole unit failed completely and rather than giving intermittent cooling, now it doesn't cool at all. It doesn't cool at all or produce any heat on the sides or around the doors. I hear the condenser fan running, and the light comes on. Other than this there's no signs of activity. We purchased a defrost bi-metal from you thinking this may be the culprit keeping it in the wrong cycle or something. I replaced it, but it did not change the situation. I was wondering if based on this information, you could offer any advice as to what the possible causes of our problem may be? I would prefer to order from you and repair myself rather than to pay a repairman. Thank-you, Ben

my unit is not defrosting, I check the "bi-metal" and the heater and it check out ok, so I am trying to find out what controls the defrost cycle. Is it the two piece part called Electronic Control 1st part number was 2303804, but changed to a 2304102. My question is, does this part control the defrost cycle??
