Answer Hal, The bin not locking into place would have no bearing on the motor not working. You will want to access the motor and check to see if you are getting 120 vac to the dispenser motor when the lever is depressed calling for ice. If there is 120 vac and the motor does not rotate then you would need to replace the motor.
