Is the bin thermister positive on negative temp coeficiant? ntc/ptc
Answer Hello Mark. The bin thermostat 2217288 works both ways and really does not read just changes value in resistance.
How else can I technically check after taking it off to replace with a new one?
Answer Hello Mario. The thermostat 2217288 can be tested for ohms with a meter. It should read around 10K at room temperature. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
