I have removed the blower fan. It makes a lot of noise. Is there suppose be a shim on the shaff to hold the fan? Or is it just worn that bad
Answer Hello Bob. There is a flat spot on the shaft and the hole in the blower wheel. It sounds like the wheel 31001317 is stripped out and will need to be replaced.
I have purchased the blower wheel thru you; how do I remove the clip that is holding the old one on?
Answer Julie, You will need a pair of "needle nose" pliers TJ20000040 to remove the spring clip, on the hub of the blower wheel, and a pair of "tru arc" pliers 038705 to remove the retainer clip on the end of the motor shaft, then slide the blower wheel off the shaft. You can also purchse these tools at a local hardware or auto parts store. Thanks and Good Luck
