My dryer is taking up to 3x longer to dry, could this be the blower wheel? It's getting hot and spinning but taking forever. It had stopped spinning about 2 weeks ago, I took it apart today and found that one of the pulleys had come off, I put it back and put the belt back on, but still taking at least 3 hours to dry.

My dryer is no longer heating. A few months ago it wasn't heating, and I checked the back of the dryer and found the that the dryer hose to the outside wasn't attached and there was a lint clog at the back of it. When I cleaned that out, it started heating again and has worked wonderfully until yesterday. I checked the back and it has no clog, but it still isn't working. How can I tell it it's the heating element or maybe a lint clog somewhere else? Could it be the wheel?

Is there some reason that you have to take off the drum and disengage the motor shaft to get the blower wheel off? I have watched the video, but just wondering why all of the extra steps to change something that is easily accessed from the rear of the machine.
