Answer Hello J.J., Are you sure you are turning it clockwise? Clockwise to remove means the threads are left handed. In other words, tighten it off and loosen it back on. As long as you are turning it the correct direction, my best suggestion is to use a longer wrench and maybe use a cheater bar on the ratchet for better leverage. It is screwed on and it will screw off unless it breaks. The 7/16 inch wrench will fit a flat spot on the motor shaft. It isn't a hex, just a flat part of the motor shaft between the motor and the belt pulley.

Answer Crystel, The squirrel cage / blower wheel 697772 actually screws onto the motor shaft.Here's some help " Reach around to the back of the drive motor and attach a 7/16 inch open-end wrench over the flat of the motor shaft, and a ratchet with a 1/2 inch drive on the blower wheel hub. Turn the blower wheel clockwise (shown by the “REMOVE” arrow that is embossed on the front of the wheel ) and remove the wheel from the motor shaft." Thanks

Answer Hello Mike. The blower wheel is threaded onto the shaft of the motor. There are no fasteners for the blower wheel 697772.

Answer Greg, If the new motor has a "D" shaoed shaft for the blower wheel, you need to order Y303836 . If the motor has a "threaded" shaft for the blower wheel you'll need to order 33002797 which will screw onto the threaded end of the motor shaft. Good Luck and Thanks

Answer Hello Catrina. Just turn them by hand and make sure they are not tight, or binding up inside the unit. If the roll good and have no play in them, then they should be fine. Thank you.

Answer Hello Catrina. No, based on the information you provided, it sounds like the blower wheel 697772 is causing the noise. Make sure the rollers and idler pulley are good. If so, just replace the blower wheel. Hope this helps.
