When I press the start button, the machine just blinks 2h for about 30 seconds then shuts off. Is it the control board or something else?

Answer Hello George. If you test the ribbon cable on the control panel, it should read around 10,000 ohms between pins 6 and 10, when the start button is pressed. Also you will need to test the latch assembly and see if it is good. Hope this helps.

Hi - Paul again. I neglected to mention that according to one of the previous questions asked, your rep stated that so long as the water was pumped down to at or below the screw heads of Part Number: AP4502405, that all was working correctly. Ours does not do so. The water is approx. 1-1/2" above those screws. As I mentioned, if we start a cycle, then immediately hit the cancel button, it does pump all the water out - or at least down to the aforementioned level. Any ideas? Thanks - Paul

Answer Hello Paul. Based on the information you provided, the control board will need to be replaced on the unit. Just make sure the pump motor is not getting hot and shutting down and not pumping out in the unit. If not, replace the board in the unit.

6 months ago my control panel went bad. I replaced it and everything worked great until recently. For a couple of weeks certain functions would not work, such as super scrub but it would still run the standard cycle. Now none of the controls light up and washer does not wash. Does this sound like the new control panel went bad again or do you think its the mother board.

Answer Thomas, You will want to check the ribbon harness from the control panel to the control board to ensure a firm connection. Make sure that the contacts are clean and have no corrosion. If this checks ok then the control panel would most likely be the cause of failure.

Answer John, This is a normal operation, as long as the fill valve is activateed for a couple of seconds. The control will allow a few onces of water into the tub to keep the motor shaft seal wet and pliable. As long as the water level is at or below the screw heads for the outlet W10296525 in the center of the pump, all's OK.

The dishwasher control panel has stopped working. The lights do not light, and the dishwasher will turn on. Is this a control panel problem or something else? Are there any other control panels that work with the Maytag MDB5600AWW? In addition the door latch handle broke again and needs to be replaced.

Answer Frustrated, It's necessary to use the proper parts for the model number you have. You're most likely issue is the control panel key pad assembly 6-917709 and when you replace it, make sure there is no moisture inside the panel, you install the foam seal for the vent, and there are no twists,creases or wrinkles in the ribbon. This time around, you may want to try installing the complete latch assembly W10130694, it'll be easier on you, and theres a better chance of it operating properly, for a longer time period.

Maytag dish washer runs on any of wash cycles down to 38 min.then pump starts surging [water is all pumped out ]?
