If the damper stays open all the time would that cause food to freeze in refrigerator? When I taped it shut the temperature rose somewhat to about 33 degrees. Door still says 46 degrees.

Food is freezing in refrigerator. Temp set at highest (46 degrees) Inside temp stays at 28 degrees or less. Shoved rags in damper control slots to no avail. Do I need a new HV board?

The ice maker wont make ice and the frig gets colder and turns everything frozen. Is this problem the board?

I had a icemaker overfill one night and flood the house. It stopped making ice after that. I replaced the complete icemaker assembly and It will not make ice. It since has started freezing the food in the refrigerator portion. Last night the door alarms starting going off like the door was open when it wasn't. I believe I'm having control circuit board problems? Does this sound correct? I can jump the icemaker diagnosis ports and it runs a complete cycle without trying to fill the ice tray. My main concern is to keep the fridge from ruining the food(freezing it) Thanks

I have a problem with refrigerator and freezer sections not cooling. I checked compressor resistance across pins and there are no shorts. The start relay and capacitor seemed OK but I replaced just be sure. This did not solve issue and I still cant hear relay clicking to start compressor. I pulled HV board and brought to work for design engineer to test. Could find nothing wrong with caps or relays and other mounted parts but this was with no power to board . One main 12VDC relay was making a rattling noise so pulled this off the board to test with 12VDC. Relay opened and closed properly so soldered back in place. Followed anti static protocol to make sure not to short any IC's on the board. Re-installed in fridge and now interior lights in refrigerator and freezer not coming on as they did before. All other functions seem Ok but now interior lights not coming on, start relay not seeming to get a signal to activate and start compressor. I even checked program code and it was correct. A technician told me this board was probably bad but cost is bit high to just guess. I seen no obvious burn marks on board or burned resistors caps or shorts to any components when no power applied.Possibly IC is bad on board or another relay on board is bad. My best guess is IC. Do you think I should replace this board? If I install this board and same problem exists is it returnable? I already have a start device and capacitor that I didn't really need. I would hate to purchase something so expensive to have it not be the problem or not be able to return it. Thanks for any help you can provide. regards, Andy
