My cooktop has no power, suddenly stopped. Could you please advise what the problem would be? Thanks
Answer Renee, The first place to start is the breaker box, check and make sure both breakers for the cooktop are set and locked down in the ON position(turn them both off and on several times) then check and make sure you have 240 VAC at the wall connection. If alls Ok, you'll need to remove and dismantle the cooktop and conduct voltage and resistance check with a multimeter to determine which component has failed. Thanks and Good Luck
My Kitchenaid cooktop lost all power it wont do anything. It has power going to the unit. What can i check to diagnose the problem?
Answer Hello Mike. If you experienced a power surge, the most common part to die would be the power board 3192722. If you have power flowing into the unit and to the control board 3192772 and nothing works this could be a sign that board is dead.
