I have no power to my dryer?
Answer Hello Mona,
You will want to test the thermal fuse. If the thermal fuse blows then it will not allow power through the unit. As long as you have power to the outlet and the terminal block. You will want to do a continuity check on the fuse. If the thermal fuse reads open then the fuse is bad and will need to be replaced. You will also want to check your venting from the blower wheel to the outside of home as this is the most common reason for thermal fuses to blow is clogged vent.
Replaced themostat an still have no heat. I have checked other elements and they are ok. What can I do now?
Answer Hello Larry. Check and make sure there is 240 volts coming to the dryer. If so, and the element and fuse are good, you will need to trace and see where you are loosing voltage to the heater. You could have a bad timer or motor not sending power to the heater. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
