Answer Hello Mona, You will want to test the thermal fuse. If the thermal fuse blows then it will not allow power through the unit. As long as you have power to the outlet and the terminal block. You will want to do a continuity check on the fuse. If the thermal fuse reads open then the fuse is bad and will need to be replaced. You will also want to check your venting from the blower wheel to the outside of home as this is the most common reason for thermal fuses to blow is clogged vent.

Answer Hello Larry. Check and make sure there is 240 volts coming to the dryer. If so, and the element and fuse are good, you will need to trace and see where you are loosing voltage to the heater. You could have a bad timer or motor not sending power to the heater. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Answer Hello Bo. Check the outlet first and make sure there is power there. If so, test the door switch LA-1005 and make sure it is working properly. Also you will need to test the thermal fuse LA-1053 located on the side of the heater housing. It should read closed for continuity. If it is open, it will need to be replaced. Answer Steve, all the thermostats and fuses in the heat circuit, are "closed" circuits, at room temperature. Sounds like your element checked OK, based on you post, depending on your meter resistance setting, you'll read a closed circuit or 15 to 20 ohms resistance. You should also check each element terminal to the element casing, make sure it's not shorted to the case. I think you'll be OK after you check the components. Good Luck
