If I purchase part # AP4081871, "Bucket, Ice crusher W", is it difficult to change out the plastic bucket onto my existing other parts. The plastic bucket only needs to be replaced. Looks kind of difficult.
The ice bucket for this unit is not difficult to replace. There will be a couple of screws on the bottom that need to be removed to release the front and the auger assembly and then transfer to the new one.
Bought a new bucket because the old one had cracks on the tracks and did not seat tightly. The agitator would jam into the helix (white round plastic part) on the back and get jammed. Well, the new bucket sure is pretty - but it didn't stop the agitator from coming off the helix. Now what?
Answer Hello Judi! The auger/agitator 10114401 will hook into the helix D7749401. If it keeps coming apart there would more than likely be something wrong with another part of the assembly listed as item 19 in the diagram. The crushed agitator assembly is part number 12740302. Check all parts within the bucket to see which is broken or replace the entire assembly. Thanks.
