I want to replace all 4 burner heads for GS563LXSS0, but you have 3 different sizes, I know there are 2 kinds of burner heads on the cook top, probably 2 small, 2 large or could be 2 medium, I am not sure what size to order, and I am not sure what other screws/items needed to install them properly.
Please let me know.
The part numbers for your burner heads are Right front and left front 4455981, right rear 4455979, and left rear 4455980. If you are needing the screws that hold the burner heads in place you will need part number 3368921 and would need 2 per burner. If you want the burner caps that go with the burner heads you will need part numbers for right front and left front 3192488, right rear 3192486 and left rear3192487.
Want to know if some of the smaller burners can be changed out to larger burners so that food dont burn in center of larger pots when cooking are is there an adoptor are something.
Due to the design of the unit the burners cannot be changed from smaller to larger or from larger to smaller. This is in the design of how many BTU's each burner is designed to carry and the amount of pressure the regulator will allow.
How do I install the burner head part # 4455980 ? How do I remove to the top to repair it ? Top didnt come up unless drilled. Can you help ?
Answer Hi Barbara. Remove power. Remove the top grate/grills. Remove the top screws that hold the top down to the burner bases. Unclasp with a putty knife the top from the side's of the oven cavity. There is a clip approx. 3-1/2" in from the front corner on the side. Lift up and support the underside with the steel rod that unfolds like a prop rod. Then unbolt the igniter from the individual burner needing replaced. Hold the burner base and use a adjustable wrench to remove the gas tubing from the underside of the burner. Then remember to replace the orifice onto the new one. Reverse reassembly. Snug all connections tight so there is no chance of gas leak. Thank You.
