I have a Amana range AGR6011VDS. The front right burner is not getting as hot as before. The flame is around half of what is was.
Do I need a new burner head? It is an lp range.
With the burner not getting as hot as before, you will want to check to make sure that the orifice is not clogged and that the burner head is clean. If these check ok then the issue will be a burner valve that is faulty.
I tried your advice and still doensnt work... i need to replace burners and screws. The ignitor spark just doesnt reach the burner cap. Do the burners come with a new ignitor? What screws do i need to order as well? Thanks.... Todd My two front burners dont start with the autostart knob. the ignitors are working... there is spark, they just dont start the burners. There is some corrosion and the burners are not actually firmly sealed due to the screws being rusted.. Im not sure what parts I need to order to replace. The burners and caps are fine, but the part that the orifice is in, I think needs replacing to create a sealed burner again... please advise. thanks. Todd, for Model Number MGR6775 Answer Hello Todd. Try cleaning the burner cap, and cleaning the cap, burner, and the orifice in the unit. Do not use water to clean it. Use a wire brush and dry cloth. Answer Todd, To answer your basic questions, the igniters 8523793 are available as individual parts. But you probably need more than that. The burner mounting screw part number is 3368921 you'll need two per burner. There are four individual orifice holders, and they have the igniters pre installed (if you replace the holders, you won't need the individual igniters) part numbers are: 7527P028-60 12.5K BTU, 7527P023-60 5K BTU, 74007961 9.2K BTU, and 7527P021-60 16K BTU. If the spark still remains weak after the repair, you'll need to check or replace the spark module 74009098, if you haven't yet
