Most Interesting

During the sensing mode, the washer will spin and stop twice, which is normal. The third time, it starts to spin and the motor hums very loudly and will not stop humming unless unplugged. The tub does spin, but slowly. I have run the diagnostics and both fault & error codes say "motor control fault'. Looking further (page 16 of service tech manual) says a faulty capacitor may cause the motor to 'hum', not start or turn slowly. I am confused by a prior question on this page where you said it WASNT the capacitor. I do not have an ohm meter. When running thru every item on the manual and automatic test mode, each function works! I guess I was hoping it was the capacitor and not the main control board.

The machine won't start it locks and try's to start. It makes a loud humming noise and then kicks off I think it might be the start capacitor.

My whirlpool washer (model# WTW4950XW1) wont start. It just shows sensing then it does a lock/unlock/lock mode then nothing happen, the sensing green light stays on with a blinking on red light. I bought the lid switch from you but it did not do anything. Please help. Thanks.
