My Repair & Advice
I was actually getting an error code for the shifter and speed sensor. I ordered a shifter, which included the speed sensor, and replaced that part but the washer still didn't work. After doing some more research online, someone mentioned that the capacitor may be bad. After talking to my dad, who is an electrician, he said it sounded like my problem could very well be the capacitor.
Knowing that we'd been without a washer for almost two weeks at this point, I went ahead and ordered the capacitor. It arrived two days after I ordered it (thanks for the prompt service!). I got it changed out and the washer now works. I'm happy I was finally able to make the repair and my wife is happy we don't have to go to the laundry-mat in town anymore!
