After the washer fills and begins to agitate it starts making this loud, constant, high pitched chirping sound. It will subside if you fill the machine with more water. However it is getting to be more often and the water level isn't helping much. I read that it was a problem with the center post bearing on other blogs about Whirlpool, but I don't know if that is so. The repair guy seems to want to install a new motor. That is fine if that is truly going to solve the problem. Please help.

The tub is very loose, freely moves all over hitting side of case. Not just during spin cycle, all the time. What do I need to repair?

If the bearings inside the tub support need replaced, how do you remove and replace them? Or do you have to buy a new tub support. They have scarred the brake and drive tube and leaked grease onto the brake pads. The machine was making a loud noise and would not spin and that which is noted above is what we found when we took the machine apart.

Latest Questions

A bad centerpost bearing can be the reason for the tub to be loose? The tub moves almost freely to all sides and hits the washing machine case during the spin cycle. If this is not the problem, what could it be? Thanks.
