Our icemaker is currently making ice but it will not dispense from the dispenser. The water has also stopped dispensing. Please advise what you suggest is the problem. Thank you.

Answer Hi Pedro. The model # used is # GI5FSAXVY00. Make sure this matches yours. Remove the top freezer door hinge and see if the connections are clean and tight. I would use a volt/ohm meter part # TJMA-DM1 to assist. you in your diagnosis. Make sure you have the 120 vac on the wires per the supplied wiring harness in the toe kick panel or the controls area. If that is all good, then open the fresh food door and pop out the door switch part # 12002646. Bypass these wires (jumper them). Now call for water, if it does give water now, then the door switch needs replaced. Look under the fresh food door and unhook the water line fitting by pressing the outer ring inwards to release the water tube. Put the water line into a bucket and call for water. If it does work then the filter and water line and tank is ok along with the door switch and fountain controls. See if it is a water line issue or a frozen water tank (Behind the crisper drawers). If the water line squirts water into the bucket under the door then the fountain water line is frozen. Tape a paper towel across the fountain controls. Turn the fount. light on and let is go for 24 hrs and thaw it. Make sure the cavities are not colder then called for. Both settings at the mid point settings. No colder then 0-2° in the freezer. Make sure the paddle micro switch is not open, chute part # 13005704W. If the fountain controls are bad the board is part # W10162500. Thank You.
