Everything seems to work fine with the ice machine. However the water reservoir doesn't fill as it should and then runs short of water prior to the plate releasing the ice. Is there a float switch in the reservoir? How long should the filling cycle last? Maybe a bad controller board? Or maybe there has developed some kind of blockage in the water line?

Latest Questions

Ice machine started making a VERY loud humming/groaning sound that goes on for a long time. Ice is still being made but something is obviously going bad fast. Any idea of what part I need to replace?

No power light, no bin light but drain pump runs continuously. Does not cycle. Buttons un-responsive. Could this be a bad control board?

I have an under counter Whirlpool Ice Maker (2007 model) It isn't making ice. I have ran the cleaning cycle and physical cleaned water tube and reservoir. When it starts, the reservoir fills up with water properly, it just never starts pumping water up to the plate. After a period of time, it will open the reservoir valve and allow it to drain out. The freezing plate frosts over, so I know the refrigeration side is working. What would be the place to start?
