This clip clips inside of the lint duct assembly to prevent socks and other large items from contacting the blower wheel. The end with the curve made in it goes toward the front of the machine.
Part # 8066208 is a clip that was below the lint screen. I am having problems installing it as it dislodged when I forced the jammed lint screen out. I purchased a new screen and clip. How do I install this new clip? There is a slot to place the curled end in. Where does the other end rest?

Answer This clip part # 8066208 has a curled end on one end. Use it to hold the clip while sliding it in from the back of the cabinet on the top of the dryer vent pipe. It is there to be placed in so the opposite end (flat end) is at the 12:00 position of the vent tube and the tension at the cabinet rear wall opening. It keeps it from a rattling vent tube noise. Thank You.
