The right hand door will not stay open when opened all the way.
You will want to make sure that the front of the refrigerator is not raised too high. If not then you would want to check the door closer for being damaged.
I bought the closure. I removed the door and the old closure. It did not appear to be worn. I installed the new closure. No improvement. The female insert in the door could be the problem, but it does not appear to be worn either. What else holds the door closed when the left door is closed? Is it the magnet? Do those wear out?
Answer Hello George,
The left door is held some by the vertical mullion, but the most important part of getting the door to close properly is the leveling of the unit. The magnets are mainly to seal, not to close the doors. If the left door sets higher than the right. the units' leveling should be adjusted to bring the doors even.
