I purchased a new clutch for my washer. The original clutch has a blue spring and the new one has a green spring. Will this be ok since I read somewhere that the colors represent different tension for larger or smaller tubs. Should I just use the old blue spring on the new clutch?

I replaced this clutch on my kenmore washer about 3 weeks ago. The washer worked great up until yesterday. It seems that the clutch wore out already. The washer will not spin out a full load of wash. I have to remove more than half the load to get it to start the spin cycle. Once the cycle starts it spins out at full speed. My question in was the clutch bad or what would casuse the clutch to fail so quickly

Answer Hello Fred. Check and make sure you installed the clutch properly on the unit. If so, then the issue may be a bad drive tube or the drive block is bad on the unit and will need to be replaced.

What is the difference between part # AP3094537 and AP3120590 my original part # is 8299642 for a Kenmore 110.26922500.

Answer Hello Greg, The difference between the two parts is the tension on the brake spring. The 285785 is for smaller tub size machines. Hope this helps.
