Washer does not move through cycle but can be manually moved overwise it continues whatever cycle it is on, ie. washes load but never stops. It also does not spin in the drain cycle but water does drain.

My washer will begin filling with water but sounds as if it is spitting water. It dosent fill up all the way and then stops and does not continue through the cycles. It will then sit with water in it and not drain. If I set the knob just prior to drain it will begin to make the spitting noise but will start draining if I slightly turn the knob while still making the spitting noise. Could it be a timer issue?

When the machine was purchased some years back, the first thing that was done was the screens were removed from the cold and hot inlet solinoid Problem now is that the timer stops between cycles... I installed a new timer Part # WPL-22002452 And there was NO change in the problem. Other wise the machine works properly.

Mine doesn't stop in the middle of the cycle, it stops progressing through the cycle and continues to run halfway between the 1st & 2nd rinse . . . FOREVER
