The ice chute is not allowing ice to fall down each and every time. When taken apart the position of Connector Part Number AP3853370 MFG Part Number 2305242 makes it clear that the motor is not returning to the proper starting position each and every time. When the motor is forced to re-set its starting position the chute opens just fine. A number of cycles later, you can see that the starting position of the motor/connecter has changed, the chute is jammed shut and will not open. I presume its either the motor (less likely) or the circuit board (more likely)that is allowing the motor to get "out of sync" to the proper starting position of the chute door. If I order the PC board and it is not the culprit is it returnable? Or, I can buy the less expensive motor, install it and see if it works. Your help/advice please.

Past problems with ice dispenser: spit all ice out with no signal several times. Now dispenser display blank. There is 120V at electrical control board (Manf. Part No. 2303843). Expect DC voltage going to electronic control board with dispenser display (Manf. Part No. 2321746)? However, DC voltabe unstable between 1.5 and 3 Volts - corresponds to very low, intermettant (on/off every half second) buzzing sound from electrical control board. Question: is the problem with the electrical or electronic control board? Any diagnostic help much appreicated.

My loving fiancee left our whirlpool freezer door open which caused all the ice to melt out of the ice dispenser shoot. It seems to have shorted out the controller board (AP3882921) since nothing works now. No lights on the front ice and water dispenser. No longer dispenses ice or water, and also no longer makes ice. My question, should I only replace the controller board, or could it also be that the dispenser controller board is shorted as well?

My ice make will make ice, but will not dispense ice. Water will come out, but nothing happens when you push the ice pad. The door will open, but ice does not drop. How do I know if it is the fountain control board AP3885987 of the elec control board AP3882921? What is the process for troubleshooting? Where and what voltage ac or dc is outgoing to the auger motor? if there is no voltage coming out of the elec control board, then could it be that the fountain board is not sending the signal for ice to the elec control board. I guess I'm trying to figure out the sequence of operations? Thanks for the help.
