Answer Steve, The motor is more likely the cause of the ice door not closing all the way. The motor is just going to activate the door and it sounds like the motor is binding.

Answer Hello Roy, The water inlet valve W10159839 has failed, the water tank 2305226 is frozen, the water line in the door is frozen, or the water dispense actuating circuit 2305312W has developed an issue. The water filter could be stopped up. Does it click or hum or nothing at all? If there are more symptoms, they would contribute greatly to the diagnosis and possibly either completely change it or pinpoint the issue.

Answer Hello Jade. It is best to remove the boards and see which ones is shorted and burnt. Also, you can test for power to test the boards on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
