Hi, I have had this model for maybe 6, 8 years. The first one I had broke the first 2 month. They replaced it with a new one, it broke in a couple of months, replaced stat, circuit board, lasted till warranty was over, broke I replaced board. Broke again in about a year replaced fan, stat and board myself on 3-18-2013 , it is not working right again I think it is the board . Why does this board go bad ? I see this board fits a lot of different makes and models.PS988248 and AP3853127, 2304099. Thank you,

I have a Kitchen aid refrigerator model ktrc19kkss01 and it seems that the defrost heater is always on. The left side is warm and the door gaskets are alway warm to hot. Is the problem with the defrost bimetal or the defrost timer control board? The refrigerator works, but the freezer door section does not keep the items frozen. I have already cleaned the condenser coils and the fan works.

Is there any way to test the ADC board to know if it is bad? My 7yr old Kenmore by Whirlpool was room temp inside both fridge and freezer this morning and compressor and fan were not running. After moving the temp control knobs back and forth a bit, it started working and now appears to be fine. Trying to decide if it's more likely the cold control or the ADC board. I've seen how to check the cold control for continuity, but expect it will appear normal now if the problem is intermittent. I have a feeling this problem will return at some point, and would like to be more prepared. Thank you for any suggestions.
