What part controls the measured fill system? My water dispenser is not dispensing the correct measurement of water so what part do I need to replace to correct this?
Answer Hi. If the water line filling the glass has an obstruction right inside the end of the tubing then clear this out with a pick tool. Make sure the inside edge is tapered so it empties out all the way. The fill is a result of the paddle switch staying engaged to have the water valve part # W10159839 replenish the water tank in behind the crisper's. Remove the water line under the freezer door coupler and see if it empties correctly into a pan or glass now. If so then the issue is the door tubing. If it does not, make sure you have first changed the water filter every 6-mos part # 4396841. Remove the water tank to see if it is frozen and thaw it out under the sink. Make sure the controls are both set to mid point and not extremely colder. Make sure the water line behind the unit is not kinked, slowing down the fill. Thank You.
Hello - My Whirlpool Refrig Side/Side's ice dispensor doesnt work, the last time it worked it sounded like ice was jamming it. So, I checked and it was clear. Then when I tried it again, the motor sounded like it stalled out and died, and it hasn't worked since. Any ideas ??? Thanks
Answer Hi Walter. Turn off the ice maker. Remove the ice bin. Tape the fzr. door sw. shut. With the door open use a glass to command for ice. Is the motor now working ? If so - remember to shut the ice maker on and off while you need the ice. Let the cubes be used to half way in the bin. Then turn the ice maker back on so it will not over fill and cubes fall internally onto parts below and jamming them. Make sure monthly you remove the ice bin and save the ice. Dry the entire bin completely as shards of ice will build up and eventually stop the auger arm from turning altogether. This will ruin the auger motor. When replacing the motor part # 2252130, make sure you replace the upper bushing part # 2212370 and the coupler seal w/ part # 2198628. Thank You.
