Most Interesting

Our control panel (AP4397158) displays F1, beeps continuously until cancel is pressed, and the oven stops working whenever the oven temperature gets to around 350 degrees or above. Then while it cools the board single beeps occasionally and continues to display the F1 code. Once it has cooled to around 250 the board begins to respond again. I checked the oven temp with a separate oven thermometer and it registers roughly what the oven displays, so it's not a super hot oven. But it does appear that the panel is overheating. Would replacing this unit fix this problem or is there another more likely cause? We're replacing the door hinges and the door seal as they are worn out, but even if I wedge the door shut to keep the heat in, the board still F1s at around 350. Thanks for any advice.

The control panel went completely black but had power to the fan and light swith on either side of control panel. I had a service tech verify that there was power to the control panel as I had seen a switch on the schematic coming from L1. Before I buy a new control panel (very expensive) are there any other possibilities? The back of the control panel showed a sligh burn mark in the corner.
