Answer Hello Terrel! Yes, the electronic control only comes available with a black overlay now- all other colors have been discontinued and are no longer available. The black replacement is part number 5760M305-60. Thanks!

The control panel on our Maytag range seems to be failing. Intermittently, the clock and all of the read-outs on the panel go black and the buttons become non-responsive, and the oven stops heating. Then a few minutes later the panel might become operative again. Lately it seems to be happening with greater frequency. If possible I'd like to confirm that the control panel is actually the problem before I order a new one. Can you please tell me how I can confirm that the problem is in the control panel and that the problem will be fixed by replacing the control panel? Thank you

Answer Hello Peter. If there is power coming to the clock, and then it goes blank, you will need to replace the control 5760M305-60. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Sometimes my oven will take 30 mins. or more to reach desired temperature, would this be the control panel or the temp heat sensor in the oven. A couple of times the oven temp says 350 but it doesn't feel like it inside the oven. Thanks

Answer Gary, Do you have any error codes displayed in the control, If not, an out of range oven temp. sensor could be the issue 12001655, but it's more likely you have a weak oven igniter 74007498 causing delayed ignition or intermittent burner operation. Thanks and Good Luck
