During a drain cleaning the control board fell off the top of the washer when the dryer came on. You can faintly see two dimly lit portions of the display and the "control locked" is on. Is my control board trash? Also the tub is filling w/water when not in use, inlet valve?

Panel displays 8:88. This is not a recognized error code. I cleaned the pump basket out and made sure the soap dispenser is clear of obstructions. Pump is also clear of obstructions. Is this a motor control failure or a control panel failure. Any help would be appreciated.

Latest Questions

My soap dispenser got clogged with a piece of paper and water poured out from the soap area. I pulled the paper out and then tried to turn the washer on, but the front control panel was out. The only power I can get to it is the Control Lock/Unlock. I'm sure water got on the control panel. Do you think I should replace the front control panel? Would this fix my problem?

Replaced the main control unit (8182695) after a failure. With replacement unit installed, the machine worked for about a day, and then it stopped working again. Cannot get the machine to turn on again, but you can lock and unlock the controls (using the lock/unlock button). Tried unplugging the machine and leaving it for 30 minutes, and even four hours. Checked wiring with no faults found.Suspect control unit is defective.

Kept getting the F02 code, clean the drain at the bottom which was completely clogged, ran a couple times to get sedement out of lines, then ran the washer cleaning monthly maint which completed and cleared out the rest of the sedement, (I have well water). Went to do my load of laundry and now the door wont lock and gives me the DL code. How do I know its just the door switch that needs replaced and not the whole control board ? Also, still have a load banging noise when it enters the fastest spin cycle but stop's shortly after and finishes the cycle, does not bang unless it's in the fastest spin mode and has been doing this all along.
