Refrigerator side warm, approx. 52 degrees, freezer side was fine, all items were frozen solid. I noticed there was frost on the back bottom of the freezer wall, so a repairman was called. He pulled off the back panel inside the freezer (covering the coil), and used a hairdryer to remove the ice which had formed on the coil. He replaced the defrost thermostat (he called it a defrost relay), and said that our refrigerator would work for approx. 4 to 5 days, until he could get back with a new control panel (he called it a computer). Why would the defrost "relay" only work for 4 to 5 days until the "computer" arrives? Is it possible that it will take 4 to 5 days for ice to form over the coil again? Also, there was no air coming out of the diffuser (refrig side) until the coil was de-iced. Now there is air coming out (top left side of refrigerator) of the diffuser. Any suggestions or guidance on whether or not the control panel needs replacing will be appreciated. A side note, the current control panel was installed in 2009, after an electrical short blew out the original one. Thanks.

The freezer works fine but the fridge barely cools, the control board doesnt respond at all. When I press the keys on the board it doesnt change the temp or even on and off. I was wondering beacause of it the fridge is stuck to a low temp, how do I know if the conrol board is dead?

Hi. My refrigerator suddenly won't stop running. Cools reallyl well but freezer to negative 13 and refrigerator to 20's...measured with a Fluke meter. I've taken all apart; tested the thermocouples (both refrigerator and freezer). Both show continuity and respond to changes in temperature so I'm guessing is control board... ? Is there anything else I can check? Sticking relay perhaps? Thanks for your help!
