Answer Jean, sounds as if the ribbon cable is becoming defective and needs to be replaced. The ribbon cable is only available with the control panel assembly, part number 74005745. Thanks!

After water first spilled onto the touchpad, Some of the buttons stopped working next day and then I completely lost all the touch panel. I suspect water shorted the control board, 8507P234-60. Before I order that part, I wanted to check with you first.Thanks for your help.

Answer Hello Murat, If it was just the key pad that is not working then you would need to replace the control panel W10314417. If the display also failed then you may need to replace the control board [AP450810]. You may have to replace both due to the water spilling could have caused both parts to fail.

My oven turns on by itself and overheats to give an error code of 1d11. I have disconnected power and tried again and get the same results. I have checked the resistance of the oven sensor and it looks ok @ 1080 ohms. Do I need a new control board? Is there anything else I should check to help find the problem?

Answer Hello Kevin, The Error code indicates a runaway temperature. The ohm reading of sensor should be 1143 @ 100 degrees. The 1080 at room temperature would be a good reading. You will need to replace control board 8507P234-60.

Oven comes on and imediately says power failure. Replace cord. Checked fuses. I think it is the control board. Anything else to check before that? It is currently unplugged for safety sake.

Make sure the power coming to the unit is correct and when the unit is turned on the power does not drop. idf the power is good, you will need to replace the control board 8507P234-60. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
