I called to confirm this part and was told to reask the question. The part suggested is a plastic console and would have nothing to do with the operation of the washing machine. It is only a cosmetic shell. My Machine is a Kenmore Elete HE 110.27092600

This machine has been hard to get started for about a year. The power button does not come on when pressed. After you press and hold it would come on and when the start button was pressed the cycle completed the wash with no problems. It is taking longer and longer to hold the power button for it to start. Now nothing. I unpluged the power cord and recycled and then the power button would come on when pressed but the start button would not start. Now nothing. It never had a error code. At times some of the options buttons were also not available.{Temp, Spin, second rinse, etc.} Is this a user interface board problem or control board. If there were an error the code would display on the user interface board. When the power button does power up and start it completes the wash without an error. I don't think it is a control board problem. What do you think?
