The cold water was not filling, so we replaced the valve and flowmeter. Now the warm/hot water will not fill. What could be causing this to occur?

Answer Hello Cheri. You need to check and make sure all the connections for the wires are good, and the hot water is turned on. If all is good, you may have a bad wiring harness on the unit. It can also be a bad temperature switch on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
My Maytag washer will only spin. It doesn't matter where I set the dial. Would this be a bad timer? Help!

Answer Hello Robert,
This sounds like you have a bad basket drive & brake assembly 285792. The reason is the brake has to lock for the unit to agitate. If the brake never locks, the unit will only spin even when set to agitate.
What causes the washer to fill, agitate, fill to rinse then not empty or spin even though timer continues to complete cycle. Then if you move the control back to rinse and pull it the tub drains then spins.

Answer Leonard, There are a couple of possibilities, First the ATCF/water level switch W10248240 and tube 353244 (most likely issue). if the tube is kinked twisted, or clogged, the switch won't complete the circuit properly, Causing improper inputs to the timer circuit. You may also have a timer control issue (less likely issue) W10104800 . And alo check and make sure there are no loose wires or connections in the timer wire harness blocks.
