I have the above Whirlpool range and have replaced the gas valve and igniters to the broiler. It only worked temporarily. Therefore, I believe that part No. AP3964239 could solve the problem The oven will not heat and the broiler will not work as well. Could this solve the problem before I order such an expensive item?

Answer Hi Jessee. Is your unit bring up any codes? If you have an F-3 code, then your oven sensor will require changing part # W10181986. This controls the temperature's inside your oven to stay at the proper called for temperature's. You can remove the back, unhook the connector and use an ohm meter to test the sensor. At room temperature of 77 degrees, it should read 1,100 ohms. Wiggle the wires during testing so it can show either a open or short. I would highly recommend this before changing the oven controls. Thank you.
